First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach is almost 3,000 acres of space to enjoy nature. Every Friday they invite you to get up close and personal and write down what you see. Admission of $4.00 per vehicle gets you a guided hike along with an explanation of the local flora and fauna. You’ll receive supplies to write down or draw about your experience.

Northwest River Park in Chesapeake, along with Back Bay Amateur Astronomers invite you to explore the stars and planets with them. This free monthly event starts at sunset and goes until 9PM. Remember, this event only takes place when there’s a clear sky.
